Saturday 26th February 2022 – Virtual Festival

The Higgins Bedford has been a hub venue for the OUTing the Past Festival for the last five years and is excited to take part on Saturday 26th February 2022 as a virtual festival hub for LGBTQ+ History Month.

This will be our second year hosting a Virtual OUTing the Past Festival to share a wide range of presentations from the LGBTQ+ community, encouraging inclusivity and awareness about the history regionally and nationally, whilst offering the opportunity for wider accessibility for the community to join in from home.

With a range of dynamic speakers and presentations, our OUTing the Past Festival aims to share the hidden histories and stories of the LGBTQ+ community, celebrate its diversity, and raise awareness of the challenges that the community have encountered and continue to face today.

The Higgins Bedford is currently organising the programme of presentations and will be announced soon. Our virtual visitors are encouraged to ask questions as there will be an informal Q&A with the speakers after each presentation.

The Higgins Bedford also runs an LGBTQ+ History Month Panel that helps to develop our activities and events, so please email Lydia.Saul@bedford.gov.uk if you would like to get involved.

Please visit The Higgins Bedford website and social media channels to keep updated with our plans for OUTing the Past 2022.
