OTP 2022 Hub - EPIC Emigration Museum

Tuesday 5th April – Virtual Live

At EPIC, visitors can discover Ireland from the outside in and find out why saying “I’m Irish” is one of the biggest conversation starters, no matter where you are. EPIC tells the moving and unforgettable stories of those who left the island of Ireland, and how they influenced and shaped the world. EPIC embraces the past and the future with 1,500 years of Irish history and culture housed in its atmospheric vaults. In 2021, EPIC was proud to launch “Out in the World”, the first ever museum exhibition dedicated to Ireland’s LGBTQ+ Diaspora.

This year the OUTing the Past Ireland Festival is in partnership with multiple institutions across the island of Ireland. It will run across three weeks from 18th March to 10th April and fifteen sites. EPIC will be playing host to a fascinating mix of talks and workshops focused on discussion and fun engagement.

The full programme of talks, tours, activities and music will be announced soon – watch this space!
